What is the required before care for my eyeliner appointment?

  • For permanent eyeliner, wear glasses to the appointment instead of contact lenses.

  • For permanent eyeliner, discontinue the use of eyelash serums (Latisse, Babe Lash, Maxeylash, etc.) a month before the procedure. These serums enlarge the blood vessels in this area and make pigment retention more difficult.

  • Avoid sun and tanning 30 days before the procedure.

  • Discontinue Retin-A and retinol products 4 weeks before the appointment.

  • Refrain from the use of any Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your procedure.

  • Refrain from non-prescribed mood-altering drugs for at least 24 hours before any procedure.

  • For a history of cold sores- begin taking prescribed antiviral medication 2 days before the lip treatment.

  • Do not exercise 24 hours before the procedure.

  • NO alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before procedure (Yes, there is caffeine in decaf coffee and tea!).

  • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Advil/Ibuprofen 24 hours before the procedure.

  • Avoid Fish Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, and "Hair, Skin, Nail" supplements 24 hours before the procedure.

  • If you are not allergic to Benadryl, you make take one the night before and the morning of the procedure, which may help control swelling.

  • Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

  • No doctor-prescribed medication should ever be discontinued without first consulting your physician.

  • Our permanent makeup clinic requires consultations ahead of time for any client looking to schedule an appointment. We go over the healing timeline in addition to necessary before and aftercare. Our permanent makeup clinic offers in-person and virtual consultations.
